Aluminium alloy BS L157 is the aerospace specification for 2014A-T6 bare sheet and strip. L157 / 2014A is alloyed with copper (3.90-5.00%) giving it high strength levels of 430 N/mm² UTS minimum. As such L157 finds usage in many aerospace and defence high strength applications where is poor corrosion resistance is not a factor.
